Swerving between elastic funk and playful sound design, New York producer Tristan Arp shares his debut collection of biomorphic techno with Pipeline. Shining with the sprightly whimsy of science fiction, Pipeline emphasizes spontaneity and intuition, each track an improvisational one-take performance.
Listen to the first offering from Pipeline, the pointillist title-track, via Mixmag.
Pipeline is the first in a series of dance EPs to be shared by Tristan Arp throughout the year and will be available in digital format on May 18th, 2018 via Human Pitch.
We're excited to share news of our first release of 2018, a potent collection of tracks from Accra, Ghana-based producer GALTFaculty. After a few years of corresponding with GALT over many late-night and early-morning messages, combing and parsing through recordings he's gathered over the years, we arrived at E B O W, an EP of undulating and warped dancefloor and hip-hop excursions and GALT's first official release under the GALTFaculty moniker.
We hope you enjoy the first offering from E B O W, "Owned It"—Detroit House reinterpreted and imbued with the electrifying atmosphere of Ghana.
GALTFaculty’s E B O W is out on digital format via Human Pitch on March 16, 2018.
We're psyched to share Vol. 7 of our Resonant Frequencies series, a soaring mix by Greece’s own Jay Glass Dubs. We’ve been massive fans of Dimitris’ music ever since we discovered his album New Teeth For An Old Country a couple years ago on one of our favorite labels, Bokeh Versions (they can do no wrong!). We’d never heard anyone flip dub on its head the way Dimitris does. His recent Bokeh Versions collab EP with Leslie Winer, YMFEES, is Jay Glass Dubs at his most extraterrestrial. A must listen :)
Read our Q&A with Jay Glass Dubs for more on his sampling process and his introduction to dub music.
We invite you to explore Vol. 6 of our Resonant Frequencies series, a velvety mix for nighttime voyaging from Antwerp's Milan W. We were first introduced to Milan's music through his excellent 2016 debut album, Intact, released through the Belgian label and graphic studio JJ Funhouse. Read our Q&A with Milan W. for more on whether an underground can exist in the digital age and Antwerp's small but close-knit music community.
A few months ago we began Resonant Frequencies—a mix and interview series showcasing heads, freaks, selectors, artists, and beyond around the globe who embody the Human Pitch spirit.
Join us for a special night celebrating that very spirit for the first of our Resonant Frequencies show series. Featuring performances by vhvl, Gobby, NK Badtz Maru, Rioux and Ryan Spencer.
