Wild Rose Book

Landon Speers - Wild Rose - November 2, 2018

October 23, 2018

Canadian-born, New York-based artist Landon Speers brings his visual and musical practices together with the release of Wild Rose, a book of original photography with an accompanying album of ambient compositions. The multimedia collection encapsulates moments of stillness through vignettes of natural elements both rural and urban.

Exploring beauty in states of growth and decay, the landscapes of Wild Rose are captured with an approach akin to portraiture. Time is the hidden subject emerging from geological formations and inhabited spaces, momentarily absent of humans. An intimate sense of life long lived in these environments lies beneath the surface of every image with a spectral glow. Focused on nature’s simple gestures even in the least likely of places, Wild Rose suggests a new relationship with our surroundings and an appreciation for our world’s infinite details.

The limited edition book of photographic prints accompanied by a digital download of the album will be released in partnership with Human Pitch on November 2, 2018.

Tristan Arp - Plexi - October 26, 2018

October 5, 2018

Playful, dubbed-out techno gone wrong is the approach taken on Tristan Arp's second collection of twisted rhythms for Human Pitch, Plexi. The EP follows his May debut, Pipeline, the title track from which received an explosive rework from Machine Woman. You can listen to the first offering from the EP, the molten “Double Exposure,” via DJ Mag below. Plexi will be released October 26, 2018 in digital format, featuring cover art by Clément Mancini.

Machine Woman Reworks Tristan Arp's "Pipeline"

September 7, 2018

Download / Stream "Pipeline (Machine Woman Rework)"

Pointillist micro-percussion and asymmetrical rhythms propelled the debut offering of biomorphic techno from New York producer Tristan Arp in May. Now reinterpreted by Machine Woman, "Pipeline" explores new dynamic zones featuring whispered spoken word from the Russian producer.

Driven by snaking, syncopated rhythms, the rework brings the original into murkier territory before taking a series of explosive turns.  A fluid, sprawling arrangement builds on the track's metallic, underwater sound palette, challenging dancefloor norms.

Tristan Arp - Pipeline - May 18, 2018

April 16, 2018

Swerving between elastic funk and playful sound design, New York producer Tristan Arp shares his debut collection of biomorphic techno with Pipeline. Shining with the sprightly whimsy of science fiction, Pipeline emphasizes spontaneity and intuition, each track an improvisational one-take performance.

Listen to the first offering from Pipeline, the pointillist title-track, via Mixmag.

Pipeline is the first in a series of dance EPs to be shared by Tristan Arp throughout the year and will be available in digital format on May 18th, 2018 via Human Pitch.

GALTFaculty - E B O W - March 16, 2018

February 15, 2018

We're excited to share news of our first release of 2018, a potent collection of tracks from Accra, Ghana-based producer GALTFaculty. After a few years of corresponding with GALT over many late-night and early-morning messages, combing and parsing through recordings he's gathered over the years, we arrived at E B O W, an EP of undulating and warped dancefloor and hip-hop excursions and GALT's first official release under the GALTFaculty moniker.

We hope you enjoy the first offering from E B O W, "Owned It"—Detroit House reinterpreted and imbued with the electrifying atmosphere of Ghana.

GALTFaculty’s E B O W is out on digital format via Human Pitch on March 16, 2018.
